Dr. Chris Simons is an Associate Professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at The Ohio State University. His research interests use a multidisciplinary approach to understand the perception of foods and how they are processed to influence reward and, ultimately, behavior. Dr. Simons will discuss recent progress in his research program including new findings of how humans perceive texture in the mouth and methods to potentially improve the reliability of sensory and consumer testing.
